Holiday Recount-This piece of work was the first time the student did not use a dictionary to assist in her writing. It was a very proud moment!
The Polar Express-This assignment was done during a two week unit on The Polar Express. The student wrote this without assistance.

Light and Dark-This assignment was done right before starting our science topic of Light and Dark. The students were asked to brainstorm different things that they thought were light and dark.
Letters and Sounds-In the beginning of the year, we start our letters and sounds program in Literacy. We discuss the sound the letter makes and the students would brainstorm words that started with each letter.
Artwork-The main piece of work in this picture is a self-portrait done during art class. I feel it's important to display the student's work, especially when it is done in a specialist class. The turkey next to it was an activity done for Thanksgiving.
