Skittle Graph-Students worked with a partner to separate the skittles according to color, count the number in each group and represent the information on a graph.
Materials-This picture shows one of the classroom displays for our science topic of Materials. It shows the students different pictures and key vocabulary related to the topic.
When I grow up...This task was done in correlation with our topic "All About Me". It was done in the beginning of the year and shows an authentic assignment done by the students.
Weekly Recount-The students do a weekend/holiday recount every Monday to assist in their oral retelling and written retelling.
Weekly Recount-This is another example of a recount. This activity also allows students the opportunities to work on their handwriting skills and text related illustrations.
Sentence Strips-I use this activity with my students in the beginning of the year to assist the students in learning about sentence formation and punctuation. The student dictates the sentence to me, I write it on a strip and they cut, paste & copy it.
